Drilled Only:
Brake gas build up is a major problem when braking at high speeds which effectively causes brake fade. The drilled disc surface on the kinetix brake discs dissipate heat more effectively by breaking down surface gases more efficiently. The holes are laser drilled through the discs which reduce brake mass. The drilled brake discs also benefit from keeping braking temperatures rapidly low which helps keep the pad surface from reaching high temperatures that can be caused from hot surface gasses.
 
Anti Corrosion Protection:
As brake discs are manufactured from cast iron they will naturally oxidise (rust) when exposed to moisture, this process will happen with days and is perfectly normal although this doesn't look pretty the function of the discs will not be effected. Some of our brake discs however are now being supplied with a protective coating, this may be in the form of a Geo met coating or special paint, this process is happening based on stock rotation from our suppliers. When purchasing a front and rear set of brake discs it is not uncommon to have either the front or just the rears coated, if its important to you that the front and rear
 
i.e both have a coating or both do not have a coating please contact us before purchasing to we are able to check current stock or possibly offer you an alternative that meets your requirements
