The filter is positioned inside the vehicle and - due to its location - can collect large amounts of dust and other debris from within the cabin itself. If the filter gets blocked, this will limit the cooling airflow to the traction battery which can trigger an error message on the dash-screen prompting the driver to carry out maintenance. As a result, it is important to replace these filters at the manufacturer’s specified service intervals to avoid issues with the battery system.
